Migrant worker's pay grows by 200 times in 32 years

Zhang Tulin, 52, a migrant worker from Taijiang county, Guizhou province, has worked in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, about 483 kilometers away from his hometown as a tile-setter for 32 years to support his family.

When Zhang first arrived in Liuzhou with his fellow villagers in 1986, he earned 2 yuan a day as a hod carrier and endured the scolding for not doing a good job time and again due to lack of skills.
