Xi hails late comrades from research institute, stresses patriotism

BEIJING - Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on all members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to learn from three late comrades from a research institute, stressing patriotism.
The three comrades -- Huang Qun, Song Yuecai and Jiang Kaibin -- who worked for the 760 Research Institute of the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, sacrificed their lives to protect a national experimental platform during Typhoon Rumbia, when it passed through Dalian, a coastal city of northeast China's Liaoning Province, on Aug. 20.
All Party members should draw strength from the three late comrades, have firm ideals and convictions, remain true to their original aspiration, keep their mission firmly in mind, perform their duty scrupulously, be loyal to the Party and make contributions to the country, said Xi, who is also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission.
