New modules to promote China’s goat dairy industry

The 2nd World Conference of Dairy Goat Industry Development, intending to theoretically and technically support the transformation and upgrading of China's dairy goat industry, was held from Aug 19 to 21 in Fuping county, Shaanxi province.

More than 600 domestic and foreign experts, scholars and officials from central and local governments and representatives of dairy enterprises attended the event.

An the conference, Fuping’s dairy goat industry was exemplified as a model of promoting rural revitalization, a benchmark of national dairy industry revitalization, and a demonstration of world dairy goat industry transformation and upgrading.

Fuping dairy goat farming has a long history and the county has been the largest dairy goat base of its kind in China.

To accelerate promotion of Fuping’s goat farming, Professor Cao Binyun of Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University and his team innovated a new model integrating "Functional Laboratory Research and Development”, “Entity Station Technology Training Demonstration” and “Internet Sheep Industry User Technology Precision Distribution".

The event was sponsored by Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University, the Shaanxi Dairy Industry Association, the International Goat Association, Shaanxi Shengtang Dairy Co., Ltd., Jingdong Group, and Jiangsu Boling Group, and co-sponsored by the Fuping County Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Fuping County People's Government.
