China to hold 5th intangible cultural heritage expo

BEIJING - China will hold its fifth expo showcasing the country's rich intangible cultural heritage, the organizers said Tuesday.
The fifth China Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Shandong provincial government, will open in Jinan, capital of Shandong, on September 13.
Embroidery printing, dyeing, ceramic and pottery making, weaving, knitting, and tea brewing will be highlighted, the organizers said. More than 200 practitioners of traditional arts and craftsmanship will show their skills at the expo. Forums and public interaction activities will be also held and the public will be able to participate in some of the events online.
