LAPD has nearly 30 cases against ex-USC gynecologist

The LAPD detectives on Friday presented LA County district attorney's office with nearly 30 cases against a former USC gynecologist for possible sex-crime charges, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The cases were the result of a sweeping criminal investigation against George Tyndall, who was accused of sexually abusing hundreds of patients during a nearly three-decade career on campus.

Thirty more women on Wednesday filed lawsuits against USC for its failure to protect them against Tyndall, bringing the total number of lawsuits against USC to more than 340.
