International cross-country run concludes in Gansu

Approximately 1,000 runners from home and 10 foreign countries competed in an international cross-country run held in Yumen, Gansu province, on August 11.

The event, hosted by local government and undertaken by Migu Running, a Chinese sport event organizer, was part of the Skyrunner World Series organized by the International Skyrunning Federation.

It offered 25 kilometers, 60 km and 100 km categories this year.

Routes covered the distinctive Danxia landforms, the Gobi Desert, mountains, valleys and craters in Northwest China.
