Leung Chun-ying: "Chinese solutions" in 40 years
Leung Chun-ying shared the little-known stories about the cooperation between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region during the 40 years of the reform and opening-up.
Leung is vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former chief executive of the HKSAR. He got deeply involved in China's first international land lease of Shanghai Hongqiao's No 26 lot.
He witnessed the first initial public offering of mainland company Tsingtao Brewery on the Hong Kong stock market and saw the city's capital market keep transforming its roles to cater the need of mainland enterprises for decades.
As the former CE of the HKSAR, he said many in the city have changed their mindset and have actively prepared themselves to engage in the development plans of the nation.
