New ocean park in Shanghai unveils ticket prices
The Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park announced its ticket prices to the public on Tuesday, with a standard day ticket priced at 330 yuan ($49) and a preferential option at 190 yuan.
The venue is expected to open later this year though the date has yet to be announced.
The prices will increase to 399 yuan and 249 yuan during peak season – all days in July and August, as well as weekends and holidays.
The prices are lower than those at the Hong Kong Ocean Park. Tourists can also enjoy discounts during certain periods.
The park, which will be one of the biggest theme parks in Shanghai, will feature five theme zones, three animal theaters, two high-tech cinemas and an ocean-themed resort hotel. It will also be home to the world's first 360-degree penguin super bowl where tourists can closely observe the daily life of these creatures.
Visitors will be able to view performances by marine creatures including dolphins, killer whales and sea lions.
