The Hong Kong-based company spent a year discussing possible cooperation with different countries and regions before finally establishing an International Sister Street with Paris Saint-Germain-des-Pres Committee. During the Christmas season last year, Chengdu IFS recreated the legendary, century-old Cafe de Flore as a pop-up experience in Chengdu. The Cafe's debut appearance in China gave the public a taste of the unparalleled coffee culture of Paris, as well as the unique spirit of the Left Bank.

Faced with growing public demand for art, culture and fashion, Chengdu has worked hard for the past two years to find a shopping center operation program suitable for the Chengdu market.

Chengdu has since attracted Chanel and other major luxury brands to run shows, set up new stores and organize events. From the beginning, Chengdu IFS invited internationally renowned artists to create a giant panda art installation on its external walls. Now it has become a new urban landmark.

Since opening in 2014, Chengdu IFS has been committed to the reinvention of the modern business model and art popularization in communal spaces.

From the Little Prince-themed exhibition, the mass public art installation Light Rose Garden to the world debut of Sonic Runway at Hongxing Road, Chengdu IFS has brought a brand new lifestyle to the public.

"One of the missions of IFS in Chengdu is the universalization of the arts. This is part of our brand. We hope to use this to form an emotional bond with the public," she explains. However, Hau admits that it's not always easy. "The artistic and cultural resources of Chengdu and Paris is different, where commercial transformation cannot cover everything, but the follow-up impact of these activities on the public is much more important than the current transformation.
