'Hometown of lotus flowers' embrace a season of glorious palette

Known as the "hometown of lotus flowers", Wufu township on Wuyi Mountain in East China's Fujian province has embraced the season with a glorious floral palette. The blooms have attracted wildlife, including many different types of birds. Thousands of lotus flowers are flaunting their beauty in Wufu, which has also strived to build a better ecosystem by prohibiting the use of toxic pesticides. [Photo by Qiu Ruquan/China Daily]
