Xi'an police arrest man suspected of stabbing, injuring 10
Police in Xi'an, provincial capital of Shaanxi, have caught a man suspected of stabbing and injuring 10 people on Friday.
The suspect, who was only given the surname of Xin, allegedly carried a knife to get on bus No 302 after drinking alcohol at home at noon, and then stabbed 10 people when the bus was on its way to Xi’aoli village at about 3 pm on Friday, according to a release from the Fengdong police bureau in Xi'an.
Now, the injured are receiving medical treatment at a hospital and the case is under further investigation, the police said.
Earlier reports by the local newspaper, Huashang Daily, said that the suspect at first stabbed four passengers and two bus staff members, including the driver, and then injured several passers-by after he got off.
