Institute releases report on how internet is used to spread knowledge of science

The China Research Institute of Science Popularization released the China Science Popularization Internet Data Report 2017 recently in Beijing.

The report follows some 20,000 news websites, 70 news apps, 10 bloggers, 30,000 BBS, 1 million weibo accounts, 100,000 WeChat accounts and 25 video sharing websites.

According to the report, healthcare and the environment are among the main topics that netizens care about.

The report is one of a series that the institute is releasing before September when the China Association for Science and Technology will host the World Public Science Literacy Conference in Beijing.
