A tourism card that covers scenic spots in Xiongan New Area in North China's Hebei province was issued on Saturday to attract visitors from all over the world.

With the Xiongan Culture and Tourism Card, visitors can enjoy free tickets or discounts to attractions in the area, such as Baiyangdian, one of the largest freshwater wetlands in northern China.

Valid from June 1 to May 31, 2019, the card costs 198 yuan ($31) a year for each card holder.

It can be used at nearly 200 scenic spots, not only in Xiongan but also some places in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Established in April last year, Xiongan New Area is located about 100 kilometers southwest of Beijing.
