Former sniffer dog finds forever home

“We are so lucky to adopt the dog,” said Fan Xiaoyu, the husband in the family. “I liked it the first time I saw his pictures that came with the adoption announcement online. My family will definitely care for him and offer him a comfortable and happy life.”

In April, the Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau made a public appeal to find the dog a family. It was the first time the bureau made such an appeal.

Authorities from Shanghai customs said that this successful case will enhance people’s awareness of sniffer dogs and the quarantine inspections at ports.
