The 26th meeting of China-Austria Economic and Trade Joint Commission was held in April in Vienna last year. The delegation of China's Ministry of Commerce attended the opening ceremony for the 22nd International Alps Skiing Equipment Exhibition and the China-Austria winter sports cooperation seminar.

China's snowboarding team went to Austria in September for technical action training to prepare for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
