Snow to sweep Northeast China, rain in South

BEIJING - Snow will sweep Northeast China while rain will soak the country's south over the next three days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said Sunday.
Moderate and heavy snow will hit eastern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as well as central and southern parts of China's northeast in the coming three days starting Sunday, the NMC said.
A cold front will hit parts of Inner Mongolia and provinces of Jilin and Hebei, bringing temperature drops from 4 to 6 degrees Celsius, said the NMC.
It forecast that rain will hit most of South China in the coming three days, with downpours in the provinces of Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi and Anhui on Tuesday.
The NMC warned the public in the affected areas about traffic safety as many people are returning to their workplaces after Spring Festival holiday.
