Shock weather forecasts due to technical glitch

Residents around the country preparing to celebrate the coming Spring Festival have been surprised by some unexpected weather forecasts, according to a report from China Youth Daily on Monday.
Forecasts from various weather services websites and applications on Monday said temperatures in Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, would soar to 22 C on Friday, jumping from 4 C on Sunday, Jinan, Shandong province, would see temperatures hit 28 C on Friday and Linyi, another city in Shandong, would see temperatures drop from -3 C on Tuesday to -20 C on Friday.
The National Meteorological Center said through its official micro blog on Monday that it was a bug in the forecasting services caused by a technical failure.
