The Olympic flame arrived in the Republic of Korea on Nov 1, 2017, where it had passed throughout the country by thousands of torchbearers on a 100-day journey to the opening ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

It remains unknown how the Olympic flame will be lit in its cauldron for the upcoming Pyeongchang Olympics.
