China's first television reality show about domestic bands — the 12-episode China's Top Band — has made a splash since it started showing on Jiangsu Satellite TV in early November.
The show, which runs on Thursday night, and will see its last episode broadcast on Jan 25, covers 46 Chinese bands.
All the bands are musical award winners or distinctive talent in their fields, such as jazz, folk, rock, R&B, blues, techno and rap.
Each episode features three or four bands, respectively, with a short video clip to introduce their musical dreams as well as a performance of their new songs.
