BEIJING -- Feng Xinzhu, vice governor of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, is under investigation for "severe disciplinary violations," the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC) announced Wednesday.
Feng, born in 1960, became the first "tiger" taken down in the new year.
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the country's anti-graft authority, has ousted corrupt officials all the way from low-level "flies" to high-ranking "tigers" since late 2012.
