In his preface for the album, Zhou Shuchun, editor-in-chief of China Daily, writes that the album reflects the trust and bond between the two countries.

"China and Brazil are the biggest developing countries in the Eastern and Western Hemispheres," says Zhou. "The Chinese and the Brazilians have a long history of friendship, and the two sides have kept strengthening their strategic partnership."

"The two countries have effective communication and coordination on key global issues and jointly promote the building of a community of shared future for mankind," says Zhou.

China and Brazil are both members of BRICS, which had its summit heralding the second Golden Decade of the grouping in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, in September. And the Belt and Road Initiative also provides further space and potential for bilateral cooperation, says Zhou.
