Sias International university held its 19th International Culture Week starting Oct 31 in Zhengzhou, the capital city of Central China's Henan province, allowing more and more guests from China and abroad to learn about diverse cultures during the six-day festival.
The international week was regarded as a meaningful campus wide festival educating students about cultures from around the world, promoting cultural exchange between China and foreign countries and broadening horizons, said Shawn Chen, the founder of the university.
The festival was first organized in 1998, the same year the university was founded.
Based on different cultures, the festival was divided into China Day, Asia Day, Latin America and Africa Day, Europe Day, and North America and Australia Day.
The festival also showcased Chinese traditional performances and crafts such as lion dances, magic shows and blown sugar-coated figurines.
