Liaoning appoints acting governor

SHENYANG -- Tang Yijun was appointed vice governor and acting governor of northeast China's Liaoning province on Monday.
The decision was made at the 37th meeting of the 12th Liaoning Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee. Former governor Chen Qiufa's resignation was also accepted at the meeting.
Tang, 56, was born in Juxian county in east China's Shandong province. He was appointed deputy secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in May.
