Xi sends condolences to Mexican counterpart over strong earthquake
BEIJING -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday sent a condolence message to his Mexican counterpart Enrique Pena Nieto over a strong earthquake hitting Mexico.
In his message, Xi extended deep condolences to the victims of the earthquake and expressed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families. He also wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The death toll has risen to more than 30 from the strong earthquake that struck Mexico's southern coast late Thursday.
