处暑是二十四节气的第十四个节气,意味着天气逐渐进入气象意义上的秋天,中国长江以北地区气温逐渐下降。今年的处暑始于
8月23日。
在冷高压的影响下,冷空气逐渐下沉,空气越来越干燥,中国东北、华北、西北雨季迎来尾声,同时率先开始了一年之中最舒适宜人的天气。用“秋高气爽”来形容处暑期间的气候再恰当不过了。
所谓“春困秋乏夏打盹”,刚刚过去的盛夏大量消耗了人体的能量,若未能及时有效的补偿就会失去较多“老本”。 秋季人的机体进入到周期性的休整阶段,秋乏便是正常的生理反应。此时更加需要劳逸结合,注意休息。
处暑节气前后的民俗多与祭祖及迎秋有关。自古以来,人们常在中元节当晚(农历七月十五日,今年阳历9月5日)通过放河灯(又名莲花灯)的方式对已故的亲人们寄以吊唁,并对活着的亲人送出祝福。
处暑以后是渔业收获的时期,沿海地区常会在此节气举行多种形式的祭海祈福活动。浙江省沿海地区每年都会隆重举办一年一度的开渔节,决定在东海休渔结束的那一天,以盛大的开渔仪式欢送渔民出海,期盼渔业丰收。
“七夕”是我国的传统节日中最具浪漫色彩的一个节日,为每年的农历七月初七,今年阳历8月28日。相传在这一天,牛郎与织女会在鹊桥团圆相会。因节日活动的内容是以乞巧为主,也被称为“乞巧节”。
民间有处暑吃鸭子的习俗,其因是老鸭味甘性凉。做法也花样繁多,有白切鸭、柠檬鸭、子姜鸭、烤鸭、荷叶鸭、核桃鸭等。北京至今还保留着这一习俗,通常处暑当日,北京人就会到店里去买处暑百合鸭等。

Double Seventh Festival is a Chinese festival that celebrates the annual meeting of Niulang the cowherd and Zhinyu the weaver girl on a bridge of magpies in Chinese mythology. It falls on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.
Eating duck during the end of heat is
a folk tradition, for duck is "cool" in nature by traditional Chinese medicine. There are many ways of cooking duck, such as roast duck, duck with lemon, smoked duck with walnut dressing and sautéed duck with ginger shoots.
