State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING - The State Council announced the appointment and removal of several senior officials Tuesday.
Qin Gang was named Assistant Foreign Minister, and Zou Jiayi was named deputy head of the Ministry of Supervision.
Xu Yousheng was appointed deputy director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.
Xu Qin was appointed executive chairman of the Organizing Committee of 2022 Beijing Olympic Winter Games and Paralympic Games, while Zhang Qingwei was removed from the post.
Kong Xinglong and another five officials were named deputy political commissars of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Yao Xinmin and another three officials were named deputy commanders of the corps.
Shen Xiaoming was removed from the post of vice minister of education. Yu Gesheng was removed from the post of vice chairman of the National Council for Social Security Fund.
Kong Xinglong and another five officials were removed from the post of deputy commanders of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, while Lu Xiaofeng and another three officials were removed from the post of deputy political commissars of the corps.
