The Chinese Lunar New Year Family Day event held at the Kogod Courtyard of Smithsonian's American Art Museum in Washington on Saturday drew thousands of Americans, mostly parents with young children. They watched shows featuring lion dance, Peking Opera, acrobatics and traditional Chinese music, and participated in various activities such as paper-cutting, calligraphy, Peking Opera mask-making, and donned Chinese costumes.
