Xi Jinping's state visit to the united states, with first lady Peng Liyuan, spanned from the corridors of the tech industry to the halls of the White House

President Xi Jinping made his first state visit to the United States from Sept 22 to 25, which included negotiations between the world's top two economies on a variety of key issues. The visit took Xi and first lady Peng Liyuan to the high-tech hub of Seattle, where Xi reached out to a wide range of US society including business leaders, students and local officials, and then to Washington, DC. Next, Xi spent three days in New York City attending summits at the United Nations headquarters to mark the 70th anniversary of the global body's founding.
