| Hands of gold: A statue of Qianshou Guanyin, or thousand-hand Bodhisattva, reopened to the public in Dazu district of Chongqing on June 13, after seven years of restoration work. More than 1 million pieces of gold foil were used in the project, the most extensive of at least four restorations it has undergone.
