Sino-EU Business Convention
The 6th Sino-European Business Convention, which was cohosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, opened on Sept 16 in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning province.
The three-day event was themed "innovative solutions for sustainable energy and urban development" and covered areas including city development, architecture design and engineering, energy and effectiveness and air purification.
Discussions were centered on three topics - smart cities, new city transportation and urban ecozones.
Edward Phillip, mayor of Le Havre in France, said as an international city, Shenyang had huge potential for development and could cooperate with France in several areas including energy and culture. He said he expected that the event would further deepen cooperation and communication between the two cities.
