On October 25, 1952, the "against three evils" and "against five evils" campaigns ended in victory. The movement against the three devils was against corruption, waste and bureaucracy among public servants. The movement againt the five devils was against bribery, tax evasion, theft of state property, cheating on government contracts and stealing of economic information among private enterprises.
