Each contestant's score is assigned as follows:
Prepared speech: 30 points
Impromptu speech: 40 points
Question-and-answer session: 30 points
Each of above is judged according to the following criteria:
Speech content (40%) : subject selection, supporting material, organization,
statement of purpose, coherence, humour
Language quality (40%) : accuracy, clarity, fluency, pitch, pause, emphasis
General impression (20%) : manner, poise, eye contact, facial expression,
gestures
