
Liu Shinan,born in 1946, Wuhan, Hubei Province. Senior
Editor. Chinese Communist Party member.
Education:
(1) 1964 - 1968 English language major, Foreign Languages Department, Central
China Teachers' College (now Central China Normal University), Wuhan.
(2) 1979 - 1982 Sports Information major, Postgraduate School, Beijing
Physical Education College (now Beijing University of Physical Education).
Enrolled by the China Daily newspaper in 1982. Has worked as sports reporter;
political events reporter; world news copy-editor; cover page chief copy-editor;
director of the News Desk; editor-in-chief of Shanghai Star; editor-in-chief of
China Business Weekly. Currently assistant editor-in-chief of China Daily.
In 1997, the State Council (Chinese central government) awarded Liu the
"Prize for Experts Who Have Made Special Contribution".
In 2000, the All-China Association of Journalists conferred Liu the title of
(one of) "100 Excellent Journalists of China."
刘式南,1946年出生。湖北武汉人,中共党员,高级编辑。
1968年毕业于武汉华中师范学院(现华中师范大学)英文系。1982年毕业于北京体育学院(现北京体育大学)研究生院体育情报专业。
1982年进入中国日报社,先后担任体育记者、时政记者、国际新闻编辑、要闻版责任编辑、发稿部主任、《上海英文星报》总编辑等职。现任《中国日报》总编辑助理和《中国商业周刊》总编辑。
1997年获国务院"特殊贡献专家奖金"。
2000年被中华全国新闻工作者协会授予"全国百佳新闻工作者"称号。
