Won third prize of the Hong Kong Journalism Award for follow-up investigation
of the Sun Zhigang incident;
Won second prize of the Hong Kong Journalism Award for investigating scams in
the trade industry;
Won third prize of the Asian Development Bank journalism award for covering a
project by the Nature Conservancy.
Spent several months communicating with an astronaut stationed in outer space
and thoroughly investigated the possibility of spotting the Great Wall from
space with the naked eye, which is a major urban myth and a great controversy in
China. This investigation was later made into a science and education programme
by Beijing TV.
A freelancing but influential film critic, with 7 published books and
numerous articles covering all aspects of the film industry.
