IOC Ethics Commission chairman Mbaye dies aged 82

Senegal's Judge Keba Mbaye, the IOC's Ethics Commission chairman and a former IOC vice-president, has died. He was 82.

Mbaye, an IOC member between 1973 and 2002, was founder and president of the Court of Arbitration for Sport and a former vice-president of the International Court of Justice.

"Keba Mbaye was one of those men whose humanity and charisma mark you for life", IOC president Jacques Rogge said in a statement on Friday. "His devotion to the Olympic movement and its values was unfailing. We have lost a great man."

The CAS said in a statement: "His innate sense of justice and his passion for sport made Keba Mbaye a unanimously recognised and respected personality at the heart of the international sporting community.
