Concerned departments of Red Cross Society of China and the society's branch in Beijing paid a visit to the medical division of the Games Service Department of Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) on Monday.

Two sides exchanged views on the society's participation in the Olympiad.

According to a memorandum of understanding between the society and International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Red Cross Society of China shall actively take part in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, especially in cooperation with BOCOG to engage in medical assistance and emergency response.

The society will continue to discuss the details of cooperation with other departments of BOCOG.
